Save the Date! NYCLSA Spring Hub Event Scheduled for April 8th, 2022

Attention NYCLSA Members!

Please save the date for our Spring Hub Event.

On April 8th, David Arendale will join us to facilitate a virtual keynote on “Implementing DEI in our classes, learning centers, and peer learning programs.”

After publicly embracing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in our mission statements, the challenge is moving forward with practical DEI actions that permeate our programs. There is no neutral ground for learning. This keynote will focus on DEI antiracist policies and practices. Some of the information shared through this webinar comes from a new group named the Colleagues of Color for Social Justice. David is an ally of this group and a co-convener. Several small group conversations will occur throughout this talk so that the participants can share how they are tackling the issues at their institutions and the solutions that they are using.
